On the road, you can immerse yourself in the landscape, stopping in small places off the beaten track and discovering it at your own pace. Take a trip through the most remote place you have ever visited, Windhoek National Park, for example.

We recommend that travellers travelling from South Africa to Namibia have five or more pages of unstamped visas in their passports. Make sure that you and your passport have acted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the country of destination and the law.

During our six-year journey, Namibia was the first country that no one could locate on a map, and we couldn't believe it. We could drive straight for four hours and not see a single man or car built in that time. One of our favourite aspects of travelling to Namibia, however, is that no other place in the world is even remotely similar, although parts of it are similar to other countries such as South Africa, Botswana, South Sudan and Zimbabwe. Since the population is sparsely populated and it can take hours to pass a car, we recommend a hitchhiking tour through Nam Africa.

Namibia is similar to South Africa in that it is safe and easy to travel, but it also has so much to offer. If you are used to travelling in one country, it is quite easy to travel to other countries, as it is a very different experience from the one you are travelling to. Namibia has also been awarded for its proximity to the South African national road system and its relatively low travel costs for safer and easier travel.
